What: Meets with her fans and supporters at Georgian Peaks Ski Club
When: December 29, 2009 at 1:30pm at the Alpine Center at Georgian Peaks Ski Club (racers lodge at bottom of Rogers chair)
Olympic contender, Larisa Yurkiw suffered a torn ACL/MCL during a World Cup training run at Val d’Isere, France on December 16th. An appearance at the 2010 Olympic Games for this athlete are not possible, however Yurkiw is determined to come back even stronger in the future. Larisa, a Georgian Peaks Ski Club athlete, will be speaking to her many fans and up and coming racers about the injury and how she plans to tackle her recovery. Yurkiw has been an inspiration to many young Canadian athletes and continues to be a role model despite a challenging setback. Larisa will be available for a Q&A session at the conclusion of the presentation.
