It’s with great sadness that Alpine Ontario recieved the following note today from Osler General Manager Jeff Conn.

"I write to you today to let you know that Ken Crompton passed away last night. Ken passed away at home with his family by his side in the early hours of this morning he was 68 and had been battling cancer.

We are planning a celebration of life for Kenny here at the Club for Friday April 9th in the afternoon, details will follow.

Ken was a Club Past President 1981-1983

He will be missed by many including the Osler staff."

Important Notice re the Dave Irwin Reception March 4th in Collingwood
The Dave Irwin ‘Welcome Home Reception’ from Thursday, March 4, 2010 will be moved to the following afternoon, Friday March 5th , as part of the 7th Annual Pete Would Go Ski Day. Ken had insisted that the Ski Day proceed, as planned, to continue the good spirit and celebration that this annual event has built over the years.

Dave Irwin and his wife Lynne will be in attendance and a cheque will be presented to the Dave Irwin Brain Injury Foundation at the March 5th Ski Event. Those who have registered for the Dave Irwin reception will be contacted for a refund.

For those who have made travel arrangements to attend the Dave Irwin reception on March 4th you are more than welcome to attend the Pete Crompton Ski Event the next day.

We are sorry if this change in plans has caused any inconvenience for anyone.
