Kenneth George Crompton
June 23, 1941 – February 24, 2010

Passed away peacefully with his beloved wife of 41 years, Judy, his son and close friend Jeff, his brother Gordie from Thunder Bay and his buddy Dash, all at his bedside, at the family home in Collingwood, Blue Mountains, his battle with cancer courageous, but so short lived.

Ken was predeceased by his son Pete, who was killed in a boating accident in July, 2003, a loss from which he never truly recovered.

He will be greatly missed by Judy and his son Jeff, brother Gordie and his family.

He would especially like to thank Barb MacQueen, his long time assistant of 37 years for her loyalty, trust, friendship, and never-ending support.

Ken, “The Colonel”, was born in Port Arthur where he spent his winters on the ski hill and his summers at the golf course, passions which continued throughout his life. He attended Lakehead and the University of New Brunswick where he graduated in Forestry. Furthering his education at Osgoode Hall, he practiced law at Cassels Brock and Genest Murray. A special thanks to all his partners and associates.

Ken loved his life to the fullest. His drive and passion were a part of everything he touched. His work, and more importantly his family, his wife and his two boys, were everything to him.

In accordance with Kens’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration and reception will be held at Olser Bluff Ski Club from 3 -5 pm on April 9th, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pete Crompton Foundation, 186 Cottingham Street, Toronto, Ontario M4V 1C5, or a charity of choice.
