Audi Canada and Alpine Ontario Alpin Drive New Relationship Forward
-Alpine Ontario Alpin Announces Audi Quattro® Raffle-

Collingwood, ON—31 January 2012—Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) is collaborating with Audi Canada to expand its fundraising initiatives and announce the first AOA Audi Quattro® Raffle. AOA is looking to raise $350,000 for its member clubs and racing programs. This is the first time Audi Canada and AOA have collaborated.

“AOA members are as committed to performance on the hill as Audi is to performance on the road,” said James R. Lazor, executive director, AOA. “The multi-level programming that AOA provides its members is vital to the growth of skiing in Ontario and continuing its tradition that is why we are looking to our members and the community to support AOA in this unique way.”

“While this is the first time Audi Canada and AOA have collaborated, Audi has a long partnership with alpine skiing through the International Ski Federation (FIS),” said Michael Brennan of Audi Canada. “We are proud to partner with AOA and help AOA continue the alpine skiing tradition by supporting its fundraising efforts.”

About Alpine Ontario Alpin
Since July 2001, AOA has been known as the provincial governing body for the sport of alpine ski racing in Ontario, joining four ski racing divisions of Ontario; Alpine Ontario South (AOSD), Northern Ontario (NOD), National Capital Division (NCD) and Lake Superior Division Alpine (LSDA). AOA represents four divisions, 44 member clubs and over 30,000 active athletes, coaches and officials (volunteers). AOA coordinates several successful programs across the province and continues to foster the development of “state of the art” ski-racing programs from the grass roots level to the elite level. In addition, AOA’s main property is the Ontario Ski Team (OST). The OST travels throughout North America and Europe to train and compete in elite FIS level ski races.
