Entries must be submitted to AOA by the club, athletes must pay the entry fee to the club and be represented by the club at the Team Captains meeting. League athletes will not be allowed to obtain AOSD Individual K2 Series points. Contact your Head Coach, Race Administrator or Head K2 Coach for more information.

AOA/ACA MANDATORY WAIVER REGISTRATION: Athletes must complete the on line MEMBER WAIVER each year in order to compete in any AOA sanctioned event (click on LOG IN). No racer shall complete in any league, individual race or AOA event without this waiver. If you are unsure if you have a membership profile with AOA please check with your home club race administrator.
AOA SKILLS CAMPS: Racers are encouraged to attend the skills camps to further develop their skills and increase their days on snow. Skills Camp information is listed under the Programs section. The 2012 K2 League Slalom skills camp will be held at Alpine Ski Club on Feb 15 & 16, 2012.
SKILLS CAMPS REGISTRATION: Registration for the AOA camps is done via the AOA website under the Events Tab.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS: All parents are strongly encouraged to become involved and join Alpine Ontario as general members. Parents are also encouraged to participate in an official’s certification program so that they are able to understand race formats and rules and volunteer at events. Visit the officials section on the website for more details on how to get involved.
The series hosts four events (2 GS and 2 Slalom) leading up to the Semi Finals and Finals. Both the Semi-finals and Finals are a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Format. There is also recognition for the fastest individual racers in each race. Each club has the opportunity to send their top K2 Team racers to the K2 All Stars, a 2-day “All Stars Weekend” held each February whereby each club sends their top K2 Team athletes to compete in the GS and Slalom races. The GOLD and SILVER medal winners from each All Star Event (GS and SL) will qualify to participate in the Swiss Chalet K2 Provincial Championships.
The K2 League Race series is for those 13 & 14 year old racers who prefer to compete in a team based program. The Swiss Chalet K2 Team League can act as a stepping stone to individual racing for some, but provides an exciting format that rewards both team and individual performances. Emphasis continues to be on skill development, camaraderie and fun.
