Lauren Wayland,
U14 Jozo Weider Ski Club

1st – U14 Provincials GS Loch Lomond
1st – U14 Provincials SL Mount Baldy
2nd – U14 Provincials PSL Loch Lomond
Overall U14 Female Provincial champion

“Lauren did not miss a day the entire season. She is always sportsmanlike, has many friends across the escarpment and is one of the most polite people I have ever met. Lauren is extremely dedicated she analyzes her video daily to find ways to improve both with her coaches and on her own. She looks to make minute angle adjustments in her stance and warms up and stretches for at least 1 hour before and after races.”

Brianna Macdonald,
Ontario Ski Team Osler Bluff Ski Club

3rd JR/12TH — NorAm GS, Stowe (Mar12)
1ST – McConville Cup FIS SL, Devils Glen.
2nd – Anne Heggeveit Cup FIS SL, Camp Fortune.

“This is a return to snow season for Brianna, it has been a slow and deliberate return to racing – physically through training (time on hill and conditioning) and mentally (moving from a brace, through to confidence in training to transferring this mindset in full racing). It has been a difficult and challenging period with a lot of setbacks to work through.

Never has Brianna’s focus waivered. She is a strong mentor to younger athletes, a wonderful teammate, “Ontario girls need to stay strong and together.”

Emma Williamson,
Ontario Ski Team Alpine Ski Club

1st – In both Craigleith ENL races
3rd – FIS OCUP GS, Georgian Peaks
3rd – Panorama Slalom

“Emma always demonstrates a tremendous amount of drive when she wants to achieve her goals. Physically, she is constantly dedicated to pushing herself in off-hill training and tailors her diet to her performance as well. Emma always demonstrated phenomenal sportsmanship.”

Tessa Foote,
U16 National Ski Academy

2018 Rising Stars Camp
3rd overall in the OCUP FINALS
7TH Canada Winter Games GS
Selected for the 2019 France Project

“Tessa always brings a positive attitude to her training and races days, is always prepared to set herself up for success and accepts her failures as room for improvement. She’s a very focused athlete, often heard commenting on her own runs from top to bottom, aware of
EVERYTHING she’s working on. Tessa doesn’t dwell on the things that go wrong, but immediately looks for ways to correct them. Tessa has a positive aura, and gives you the sense she truly loves ski racing.”
