FIS Program 

A FIS race series for athletes aged 16 and older (as of December 31st of the current year). Each of the four AOA Divisions offer specific FIS teams. Please visit your division web pages and/or see below for specifics on these programs:

National Capital Outaouais Ski Team (NCO)
The NCO Team is the region’s senior elite development program. In recent years, NCO athletes have graduated to the Quebec and Ontario provincial teams and the national team. The team is jointly managed by the National Capital Division of Alpine Ontario and the Outaouais Ski Zone of Ski Quebec. For further information, consult the program website: National Capital Outaouais Ski Team

Southern Ontario Division Ski Team (SODT)
The SODT is one of the stepping stones from U16 extended racing program to the Ontario Ski Team for those athletes in the Southern Ontario Division. The team is jointly managed by the SOD Committee and Alpine Ontario Alpin and offers athletes a variety of training streams with the goal of putting like-minded and abilities together. The program includes a dryland component via the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario located in Toronto and on-snow summer camps in Europe and in Western Canada. New Athletes must apply for this program and be endorsed by their U16 head coach for acceptance. For more information>>

Learn to Race – Train to Race

The FIS Ontario Series offers high quality racing and development opportunities for those athletes aspiring to the highest levels of our sport. Training programs provide a progression from the Learn to Race – Train to Race phases of the Long Term Skier Development Model (AIM 2 Win) and offer intensive technical, tactical, physical, and mental training in order to prepare athletes to compete at this level.

Competitors must be registered with the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS).  All aspects of the competition and competitors’ equipment must conform to the International Ski Competition Rules (ICR). For more information consult the rules and publications section at http://www.fis-ski.com.

FIS2017/18 FIS Fees are as follows:

International FIS Card $723.00 (Allows for racing within Canada and Internationally)

Canadian FIS Card $403.00 (Allows for racing within Canada only)

Provincial FIS Card $320.00 (Allows for racing within Ontario only)

2nd FIS Card (ie Ski Cross) add $135.00

Immediate Activation add $272.00 for returning FIS athletes who require their FIS points immediately activated on the current points list – list publication dates can be found at the following link – http://data.fis-ski.com/alpine-skiing/fis-points-lists.html

A late fee of $136.00 will be applied after August 20 2017 and FIS cards cancelled before October 15th will be subject to a $90.00 cancellation fee.

To complete registration the ACA Medical Evaluation Form must be completed and signed by a doctor – linked below in Related Documents.  The FIS Athlete Declaration will also have to be completed by all athletes- linked below in Related Documents.  Both documents are to to by scanned/emailed to admin@alpineontario.ca, faxed or mailed to AOA, 39A Stewart Road, Collingwood, Ontario L9Y 4M7.
