Once again Alpine Ontario is pleased to announce our premier pre-season ski camp in December at Mt. Tremblant Quebec, this year the project will run December 4-9, 2016.

We invite all clubs throughout Ontario to participate in this value added preseason prep camp!

AGES: 8 – 15 (age as of Dec 31, 2016)
Athletes must be competent parallel skiers, enrolled in a club program and members of Alpine Ontario.

The purpose is to provide an early season development camp to athletes that do not have this opportunity with their home club program. The camp will focus on getting athletes back on their skis, mileage, free skiing drills, and some gate environments. Top level coaches and presenters will be delivering the camp content.

Due to the ages of the athletes – each athlete will require a parent or designated chaperone to accompany them. Parent/ Chaperone will responsible for transportation to and from Mt Tremblant and look after meals.

YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED MEMBER OF AOA FOR THE 2016/17 SEASON TO ATTEND THE CAMP.

PLEASE NOTE:  Cancellation / Refund Policy – A $250 deposit is included in the full cost of the camp.  You can cancel your registration before October 15 and receive all of your fees back except a $25.00 processing fee.  IF YOU CANCEL DURING OCTOBER 15-NOVEMBER 25, you will receive everything back except for the $250 deposit.  IF YOU CANCEL AFTER NOVEMBER 25th, COACHING COSTS ONLY WILL BE REFUNDED.

Accommodation is provided at the condominiums in the village at Le Lodge de la Montagne. Each Condo is equipped with a full kitchen and is within walking/ skiing distance of the gondola or cabriolet lift. The one bedroom condo has 2 queen beds and the two bedroom condos have 1 queen and 2 double beds. Underground parking will be $15.00/night/car.

All packages include lift tickets, accommodations and aqua center passes. You will receive your lift ticket and aqua Center passes when you check in. The lift ticket will be a 5 day pass – make sure it is securely attached to your jacket.

* Detach the portion at the bottom of the passes and put in a safe place so that you can replace your ticket if it is lost or damaged.

  • Skis (GS and SL if you have 2 pairs)

  • Neck / Face Warmer – Tremblant can be VERY COLD
  • Gloves / Mitts – 2 pairs MINIMUM
  • Goggles – check lenses are in good condition, no cracks and scratches
  • Sun Block / Lip Protection
  • Ski Socks
  • Long Underwear – 2 pair minimum
  • Turtlenecks
  • Ski Suit
  • Sweater / Fleece – Lots of layers
  • Casual Wear
  • Boots (outdoor footwear)
  • Knapsack

PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S EQUIPMENT WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE CAMP

Ensure that boots fit feet, boots fit bindings, the bindings are set for boot sole/weight of the athlete, helmet fits, poles fit, etc.

NOTE:

Tremblant can be extremely cold, remember to bring lots of layers and face protection.

Each unit has a kitchen. Plan on making your child’s lunch as it is very expensive, busy, and slow at the top. Send it with them in their knapsacks, as the athletes will be staying at the top to eat.

They will need some spending money for hot chocolate, snacks.

Please be on time when dropping off or picking up your children at the bottom of the gondola.

If you are late, it is your responsibility to connect with the group.
