Ontario Ski Team Summer Training Group Announcement

Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) The Ontario Ski Team (OST) is happy to announce the 2021 OST Summer Training Group. The OST Summer Training Group is made up of athletes selected from across the province and is focused on assessing and developing potential OST athletes’ attitude, work ethic, commitment, and performance both in the gym and on-snow before the team is ratified and announced later this fall.  The group this year has gone through an adapted spring selection process due to Covid 19, and have been working together since mid-May via a mix of electronic meetings and in person meetings and workouts delivered by Ontario Ski Team, the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO), and Active Life Conditioning Staffs. The Ontario Ski Team receives conditioning programs and general Sport Science/Sports Medicine support through the CSIO. Most recently the training group completed its first bout of Physical Testing at Active Life Conditioning in Collingwood. The future for the group includes continuing team dryland workouts at Active Life Conditioning and the resumption of on-snow training in August in Europe.
