Ride ‘n Roast with 3X Olympian Georgia Simmerling

AUGUST 3rd, Port Carling Community Centre, 12pm-10pm.

HOSTED BY 3-TIME OLYMPIAN GEORGIA SIMMERLING – SPECIAL GUESTS CURT HARNETT, DEVIN CUDDY, AND SAM POLLEY

Road to the Podium is a charitable event supporting the next generation of Canadian Olympians. We host an annual fun ride and BBQ reception in the beautiful Muskoka region of Ontario with the goal of raising $25,000 each year for future Olympians. 3-time Olympian Georgia Simmerling will be hosting interactive workshops for these youth in conjunction with the event thanks to Alpine Canada.

Georgia Simmerling is the only Canadian to compete in 3 different sports in 3 different Olympic games. After a successful career of Alpine Skiing that included the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Georgia switched to Ski Cross. She has won 5 World Cups and competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. With her 2014-15 ski season cut short due to injury, Georgia decided to take on a new challenge and quickly became one of the best track cyclists in the world as a member of the Canadian Track Cycling National Team. A year later, she helped her team win a bronze medal in Track Cycling: Team Pursuit at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Georgia enjoys mentoring future Olympians while she trains for both the 2018 and 2020 Olympics. Learn more about Georgia.
