COLLINGWOOD, ON (December 6th, 2018) –  In an effort to support the development of AOA athletics, Ontario based company, The Rossiter Boat Company (Rossiter) has signed on as the official partner of the U16 OCUP Series with Alpine Ontario. The new agreement follows up on a successful partnership last season whereby Rossiter supported the new AOA Club Excellence initiative driving the promotion of a Rossiter Raffle which successfully raised $35,000 for coach education for Ontario Clubs and their Coaches.

The 2019 program positions Rossiter as the title partner of the U16 series across Ontario in exchange for the brand exposure of Rossiter throughout the series which includes stops at an estimated 10 ski clubs including the 2019 U16 Eastern Finals at Calabogie Peaks situated close to Ottawa. At all events, 100s of athletes will wear the new Rossiter bibs and race around Rossiter branded gate flags with Rossiter banners situated at the finish and awards ceremonies.

The partnership is aimed at alpine enthusiasts who also tend to be cottage owners or boat owners. Rossiter is also excited to be adding to this sponsorship by conducting its own raffle of a Rossiter 20’ Cottage Cruiser with Yamaha F150XB and selling tickets at U16 Races and other AOA sponsored Events, and throughout its dealer network with proceeds of the raffle being split between AOA, the National Ski Academy, and Children’s Mental Health Ontario.

Bill Reeves, Manager of Partnerships & Events at Alpine Ontario comments, “We are delighted to be working with Rossiter Boats for another season! President Scott Hanson is a great supporter of ski racing with three kids in the sport and understands the challenges of Canadian support and the important role corporate partners must play. We are excited to promote the Rossiter brand throughout the U16 series and understand the return on investment in doing all that we can to promote Rossiter to our membership.”

Scott Hanson, President & CEO at The Rossiter Boat Company adds, As a ski racing parent I understand the value of supporting youth in their athletics as a means to promote healthy living, mental wellbeing, and personal growth.  Because of this The Rossiter Boat Company is very pleased to once again partner with Alpine Ontario and work together to give young racers the best experiences possible. ”

Kimberly Moran, CEO Children’s Mental Health Ontario said, “We are very happy to partner with Rossiter Boats and Alpine Ontario to support improving mental wellbeing and better mental health for children and youth. Healthy living is as much about our mental health as it is our physical health. The data shows that one in five children and youth have a mental health issue and that 70% of mental health issues begin in childhood or adolescence. This initiative will help Children’s Mental Health Ontario work towards our vision of an Ontario where every child and youth grows up mentally healthy.”

AOA members will be able to purchase Rossiter Raffle tickets online and at AOA events throughout the winter season. Also, don’t miss seeing the Rossiter 20 at this year’s races and AOA events, and purchasing a ticket in support of our Ontario athletes and Children’s Mental Health in Ontario.
