Alpine Ontario Golf Tournament Welcomes Partner NZ Foundation

(Collingwood, ON) May 17th, 2018 — Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) is pleased to welcome the Nik Zoricic Foundation (NZF) as an official partner and co-host of the AOA Legends Golf Tournament scheduled to take place on Friday, June 22, 2018 in Coldwater at the Bonaire Golf Club.  Moving forward the tournament will be referred to as the ‘AOA NZ Legends Golf Tournament’ presented by Project X.

AOA’s Executive Director Scott Barrett comments, “We are delighted that the NZ foundation will be cosponsoring the legends golf tournament. AOA and NZF currently work together on a number of ski racing initiatives. Collaboration between AOA and the NZF in connection with fundraising activities is a logical next step in pursuing successful outcomes for the Ontario ski community”

This collaborative approach is an effort to demonstrate a new model of partnership between the NZF and Alpine Provincial Sport Organizations (PSO), such as AOA.  NZF Board Member Aaron Schrama, explains, “The foundation’s mandate is to expand beyond Ontario to a Canada-wide program. We’re excited to increase our brand by partnering officially with AOA and we hope that more opportunities arise with the other alpine PSO across the country in the years to come. June 22nd will be fun – I hope to see everyone out on the links!

AOA is pleased to announce Project X as our title sponsor for this year’s Legends Golf Tournament! Special thanks to Project X President Stephen Hayward, who’s indicated “Partners are beneficial for personal and career growth. Project X has been a supporter of the NZ Foundation and just recently backed AOA’s hosting of the U16 Nationals by way of sponsorship. This is a great opportunity to partner with both organizations to help raise money for athletic safety across Canada and we look forward to a great day of golf!”

Proceeds from the AOA NZF Golf Tournament will continue to improve safety program opportunities for Ontario skiers with the NZF and raise funds for AOA’s athlete including funds for coach development, U16HPP, the new U19HPP program and the Ontario Ski Team.
